It is these Wildlife reserves that have successfully preserved the Indian flora and fauna.It is home to Tigers(Panthera Tigris), lions, leopards, snow leopards, pythons, wolves, foxes, bears, crocodiles, rhinoceroses, camels, wild dogs, monkeys, snakes, antelope species, deer species, varieties of bison and not to mention the mighty Asian elephant.

Indian wildlife has its share of native birds along with the migratory birds. Several hundred species of birds can be spotted across India. The Himalayan regions are well known to be the natural habitat for the Pheasant, griffon vulture and ravens. India has some of the most bio diverse regions of the world and hosts three of the world's 34 biodiversity hotspots.
